Solo-Car Crash on Highway 99 Kills 30-Year-Old Rathanak Heng
FRESNO, CA (October 27, 2021) – 30-year-old Rathanak Heng, a Fresno man, lost his life Saturday after a tragic solo-car accident on Highway 99 near State Route 180.
The accident happened around 4:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, on Highway 99, just north of State Route 180.
According to the CHP, Heng was driving a Jaguar SUV southbound on Highway 99 when he drifted to the right, exited the roadway, and rolled over for unknown reasons.
He was thrown from the car because he was not wearing a seatbelt and fell in the far right lane and was struck by two passing vehicles.
Responding officials pronounced Heng dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, both drivers remained and cooperated with the CHP’s inquiry. Fresno Officials are still currently investigating the car crash.
