Big Rig Collision on Interstate 15 Left Man Dead

ESCONDIDO, CA (December 13, 2021) – An unidentified driver lost his life after a big rig collision on Interstate 15 on Thursday morning.

At around 2:30 a.m. in the area of Interstate 15 just south of the Bernardo Drive, CHP responded to a report of a collision between a car and a big rig.

As per reports, the car driver rear-ended the semi and burst into flames. The semi driver immediately called 911 after the crash.

Responding officers and firefighters put out the fire and extricated the body of a man. Authorities at this time, withheld the name of the victim until his family is notified.

Investigators suspected that the victim didn’t notice the semi-truck because of the dense fog.

At this time, officials have not released information about the crash, but an active investigation is underway.
