39-Year-Old Jennifer Culkins Pinned Under Pickup after Pedestrian Crash
SHASTA LAKE, CA (October 27, 2021) – Thursday afternoon October 21, Jennifer Culkins, 39, sustained injuries in a deadly pedestrian crash.
The crash occurred shortly after 5 p.m. near Shasta Dam Boulevard and Oregon Avenue, as per report.
According to the police, Culkins allegedly walked in front of a stopped car at the intersection of Oregon Avenue and Shasta Dam Boulevard while William Smith, 42, was driving southbound on Oregon Avenue and turning eastbound onto Shasta Dam Boulevard.
Furthermore, Smith pulled over to the side of the road after realizing Culkins had been hit and was trapped behind the front passenger side tire of the truck.
Additionally Smith did not notice Culkins at any point throughout the turn maneuver.
As per authorities, he was not suspected of being inebriated at the time of the crash.
Meanwhile, the crash is under active investigation.
