L.A.’s ‘Million Dollar Theater’ Offering Free J&J Vaccines, Taking Walk-Ins

The historic Million Dollar Theater in downtown L.A. will be offering free Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines Wednesday, April 7, with walk-ins being accepted.

The theater is collaborating with Rite-Aid pharmacy to give the single-dose vaccine to all those with eligibility from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In L.A. County, eligibility has extended to healthcare workers, older adults, adults with health conditions that make them vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus, as well as those who work in food, from fast food employees to street vendors.

The only requirement is proof of identity such as a California driver’s license or Matricula Consular.

As the county has expressed when addressing vaccinations, proof of citizenship will not be asked for.

Parking validation will be provided for those who receive a vaccine at the GCM lot located on 308 S Hill Street.

L.A. County has distributed more than 4 million vaccinations with 1,323,686 people receiving their second dose.

The County also reported 406 new COVID-19 cases and 23 new deaths on Tuesday. There are currently 568 people hospitalized with complications due to COVID-19.
