Deadly Car Accident near Kellogg Drive Results in Fatality
SAN DIMAS, CA (September 21, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, Richard Arena was killed in a multi-car crash on 10 Freeway.
The incident occurred just after 4:45 a.m., on the westbound lanes of the freeway near Kellogg Drive.
The driver of a 2013 Toyota Corolla involved in an earlier crash with a 2002 Honda Accord left his vehicle disabled.
As a result, a 2010 Ford Fusion struck the disabled Corolla and Arena as he was exiting his vehicle. Afterwards, Arena was then struck by an unknown vehicle which immediately fled the scene.
Paramedics responded around 4:48 a.m., and rushed the 19-year-old Fusion driver to Pomona Valley Hospital. The Fusion driver suffered critical injuries.
Due to the extent of his condition, Arena was pronounced dead.
