Fatal Car Accident on I-5 in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 21, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, 21-year-old Isabel Maraya Gallegos was killed in a solo-car crash on Interstate 5.
Reports indicate that Gallegos was traveling as a front-seat passenger inside a 2018 Honda Civic. The Honda was said to be traveling at unknown speeds heading north on the highway.
For reasons unknown, the driver lost control of the vehicle and veered right. As a result, the Honda traveled down a nearby embankment and eventually struck a tree.
Due to the impact of the crash, Gallegos and driver had to be extricated from the Honda. Despite life-saving efforts, Gallegos was later pronounced dead.
At this time, further circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear. However, more details will be provided once made available.
