On Friday, September 17, Broken Shaker Los Angeles at Freehand L.A. presents Sky Dive, a rooftop pool party at the award-winning bar with performances from Desirable D, DJ Sidewords, DJ Jazzabelle and Vincent Villanueva. from 2 p.m. until 12 a.m. (pool closes at sundown). Then on Monday, September 20, in association with Tales of the Cocktail, Perrier presents A Taste of New Orleans to raise money for Hurricane Ida relief efforts. Proceeds from the ticketed event will benefit Turning Tables and Another Round Another Rally, where attendees can enjoy award-winning cocktails at the Downtown Los Angeles rooftop pool deck. The ticket includes complimentary beverages and small bites along with New Orleans-style entertainment.

On Wednesday, September 22, at 6:30 p.m. at The Rose, wine director James Saidy is bringing Peter Stolpman from Stolpman Vineyards to its outdoor patio in Venice. Last year, The Rose worked with Stolpman to create their very own Love You Bunches rose, which will be featured in the dinner. Menu items include potato pancakes with Santa Barbara uni, whipped creme fraiche, chive oil and Japanese curry, butternut squash agnolotti, oxtail marmalade, black truffle, black garlic molasses and crescenza cheese as well as rotisserie lamb saddle, smoked sunchoke puree, calvados glazed Asian pears and petite lettuces. Reservations for the five-course dinner, with six wines are available at OpenTable Experiences.
Start your engines, the Long Beach Grand Prix is back this year from Friday, September 24 through Sunday, September 26 and the signature sandwich on the menu is the Finish Line, a Merlot braised beef and sharp cheddar grilled cheese sandwich with caramelized pork belly with warm slaw in an herb roll. It’s served with Cajun seasoned kettle potato chips and chipotle mayonnaise. There will also be lobster fries, smoothies in a pineapple bowl, ribs, fried sweets, vegan options and Cayman Jack Margaritas. ASM Global (Savor) is the official food & beverage (hospitality) for the Grand Prix.
