40-Year-Old Man Killed in Deadly Pedestrian Crash on 4th Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 16, 2021) – Monday morning, July 5, Thomas Henry Pierson, 40, died in a pedestrian crash in Bakersfield.
The crash occurred around 12:54 a.m., at the 600 block of 4th Street, as stated by the report.
According to the police, the pedestrian was walking on the road when he was struck by a car. When the driver got out of the car to check on the pedestrian, he and the pedestrian were both struck by another vehicle.
Emergency crews arrived and located both men down on the road. Despite life saving efforts, Thomas Pierson succumbed to his injuries.
According to police, the driver of the first car had significant injuries and was brought to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the second car remained at the site and cooperated with officers.
