Pedestrian Dead after Fatal Collision in San Jose
SAN JOSE, CA (July 30, 2021) – Tuesday night on July 20, a man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident near Curtner Avenue.
The crash took place around 11:24 p.m., in the area of Curtner Avenue and Monterey Road, as stated by the report.
Police received a report about a vehicle striking a pedestrian in the area. The pedestrian, only described as an adult man, was transported a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, the male pedestrian was later pronounced dead.
At this time, the name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The surrounding area near Monterey Road was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. But, the road has since reopened.
