27-Year-Old Dies in Fatal Crash in Fresno County
FRESNO, CA (July 30, 2021) – Wednesday morning on July 14, 27-year-old Gaige Whittle died in a fatal collision in Fresno County.
Around 9:39 a.m., the driver of a Nissan Sentra failed to stop at a stop sign on De Wolf Avenue. As a result, the driver of a northbound Honda Accord collided with the Nissan.
Both vehicles slid into a nearby almond orchard as a result of the incident.
Whittle was not wearing a seatbelt, according to officials. He sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the crash is still under investigation.
