66-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Deadly Pedestrian Collision on Victor Street

VICTORVILLE, CA (May 27, 2021) – Authorities identified 66-year-old Gerald Eli Coillot to be the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on Monday.

Deputies responded to the accident around 11:00 p.m., in the area of Seventh Street and Victor Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a man lying on Seventh Street suffering from life-threatening injuries. Due to the extent of his condition, the man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities later determined that a southbound vehicle traveling struck Coillot on Seventh Street, while he was standing in the roadway. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Victorville officials shut down Seventh Street, between Victor Street and Desert Knolls Street for several hours.

At this time, the crash remains under active investigation.
