23-Year-Old Mail Truck Driver and 2 Others Injured after Two-Vehicle Crash on State Route 33
MERCED, CA (December 6, 2021) – Veronica Hurtado, Narbeh Nathan, and Gohar Azadkhanian all sustained injuries after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 33 Sunday afternoon.
The incident took place around 1:50 p.m. along Highway 33 and Husman Road.
As per reports, 36 year old Narbeh Nathan, was heading southbound on State Route 33.
Consequently, Nathan chose to make a left turn without stopping. Also he did not yield the right of way to the mail truck.
Eventually, he made a left turn in front of the truck.
Meanwhile, the impact of the crash ejected the postal truck into the air and it came to rest on its right side.
Moreover, officers found Hurtado, a 23-year-old postal driver from Modesto, with serious injuries while Nathan and his female companion, 72-year-old Azadkhanian, both acquired moderate injuries.
Afterwards, paramedics took Azadkhanian and Hurtado to Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
