Interstate 15 Freeway Crash Left One Dead, One Injured
HESPERIA, CA (December 1, 2021) – A woman died on Tuesday after she lost control of her vehicle resulting in a crash on Interstate 15 Freeway.
According to authorities, a 61-year-old woman from Victorville was driving her SUV northbound when she went moved from the right traffic lane onto the dirt shoulder and lost control.
When the vehicle re-entered the traffic lanes, it overturned multiple times before coming to a stop on the dirt shoulder of Mariposa Road.
First Responders found the driver ejected from her SUV suffering from life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead. Officers noted she was not wearing a seatbelt.
Meanwhile, her right-front passenger, a 47-year-old male, sustained minor injuries.
Authorities said drugs and or alcohol were not a contributing factor in the crash.
