I-8 Pedestrian Crash Left One Woman Dead
HOLTVILLE, CA (October 5, 2021) – A pedestrian crash on I-8 left a 32-year-old woman killed on Wednesday morning, said authorities.
The deadly crash occurred at approximately 5 a.m. when a 2006 Mazda struck the woman crossing along Eastbound I-8, east of Brock Research Center Road.
As a result, the female pedestrian died at the scene and the 37-year-old driver involved did not sustain any injuries.
In the end, Holtville officials temporarily closed down the part of the freeway while the authorities notified the woman’s next of kin.
The I-8 pedestrian crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
