Rider Dies in Motorcycle Accident on Francisco Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 7, 2021) – Authorities arrested 35-year-old Seth Pratt after a DUI collision on Richardson Avenue on Monday night.
The accident happened at 11:43 p.m. at Richardson Avenue and Francisco Street, just south of the Palace of Fine Arts.
Officers arrived to discover a 40-year-old motorcyclist down in the road, after a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle. Paramedics then transported him to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.
CHP identified the driver as 35-year-old Seth Pratt of San Francisco, who police said remained at the site after the crash.
Officers gave Pratt a sobriety test. Shorty after, police arrested and booked him at the SFO County Jail on charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.
The surrounding area on Richardson Avenue was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
