11-Year-Old Girl Injured in Collision near Ann Road in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 24, 2021) – Around 2:40 p.m., an 11-year-old girl was struck in a pedestrian crash on Commerce Street.
According to reports, the collision occurred at the intersection of Commerce Street and Ann Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly.
Authorities say the child was walking outside of a marked crosswalk and was hit by the driver of a white pickup-truck. Although, the identity of the driver has not yet been released.
Paramedics transported the severely injured girl to a local hospital for further treatment. Medics say she is in critical condition, but is expected to survive.
In addition, reports indicate that the driver of the pickup-truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
At this time, speed or impairment are not considered to be potential factors. However, an active investigation into the pedestrian crash on Commerce Street is still currently underway.
