Halloween Family Fun In Los Angeles

Fall is upon us even if the temps are still high and the trees are still green, which means Halloween is right around the corner. Either way, here are some of the best places to visit and things to do with your family in L.A. to make your Halloween feel a little more festive.

Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch

Celebrate the magic of Halloween at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch, where they brought the farm to Culver City. Bring your family to explore pumpkin village, visit the petting zoo, ride ponies, and find your way through the mini straw maze. The patch also provides super slides, bounce houses, and giant rocking horses. Kids also have the opportunity to get their faces painted and decorate pumpkins. It’s open seven days a week, so there is no excuse to skip out on this fun Halloween tradition!

Night of the Jack

This year the walking trail is back with an experience for everyone. Enjoy this spooky, but not too scary, dazzling light display, with all your favorite characters dressed in pumpkin form. Parents can stop by the Spookeasy Bar, and the whole family can indulge in some of L.A.’s top food trucks. Set up a picnic under the harvest moon, and on your way out, don’t forget to stop by the shop to pick out a souvenir. Purchase tickets in advance, and head over to Calabasas for a night you’ll always remember!

Boo at the L.A. Zoo

Put on your costume and head to the zoo for special weekend entertainment and activities. Some of these activities include animal pumpkin feedings, a spooky stroll, wild, weird, and wonderful tours, creepy crafts, and even trick-or-treating. You can also enjoy some shows like, “Spooktacular Science” and “AbbracaZoo!” Be sure to check out their website for important info regarding tickets.

Six Flags Fright Fest

Do you have teenagers who want more of a thrill? Take them to Magic Mountain, in Santa Clarita, for some spine-tingling fun! Enter The Deadzone, and you’ll encounter a renegade of cyberpunk zombies. Walk through the haunted cemetery, or choose from the frightening mazes that have surprises around every corner. Face your fears by riding the dark roller coasters like you’ve never ridden them before. Don’t leave without eating some spooky treats that will scare your taste buds into wanting more.
