70-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash near Adams Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 23, 2021) – Sunday morning, 70-year-old Leonard Gonzales Zamora, died after a pedestrian crash in Los Angeles.
The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m., near Adams Boulevard, as stated by the California Highway Patrol.
According to CHP, no description of the car that hit him was provided. However, Zamora was pushing a wheelchair on the northbound side of the interstate when he was struck by a vehicle.
Paramedics arrived and pronounced Zamora dead at the scene, due to the extent of injuries sustained.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. But, the road has since reopened to traffic.
No further information has been released at this time. Meanwhile, the crash is still under active investigation.
