One Dead after Pedestrian Hit-and-Run near 5 Freeway
GORMAN, CA (July 6, 2021) – One unidentified person died Friday evening following a pedestrian hit-and-run on Copco Avenue.
The tragic accident happened at around 9:28 p.m. on July 2, in the 45100 block of Copco Avenue, near the Golden State Freeway.
According to reports, CHP arrived at the scene where they found a pedestrian lying on the ground, but the cause of the accident remains unknown.
Authorities added that the driver that struck the pedestrian reportedly fled the scene.
At this point, the police withheld the identity of the victim until their next of kin was notified. Meanwhile, the make and model of the car involved in the accident are still unclear at this time.
Authorities are currently conducting an active investigation into the crash; more information will be released as soon as it becomes available about the hit-and-run on Copco Avenue.
