Deadly Pedestrian Accident Leaves One Fatality in Patterson
PATTERSON, CA (June 22, 2021) – Tuesday, Sam Cirrincione was fatally struck while attempting to cross the street on Las Palmas Avenue.
According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff, the incident happened shortly after 9:30 p.m., near First Street.
According to reports, 70-year-old Sam Cirrincione of Patterson was walking north across Las Palmas toward some taco trucks.
While outside of a marked crosswalk, a westbound Chevrolet pickup-truck struck him. Despite life-saving efforts, Cirrincione later succumbed to his injuries due to the extent of his condition.
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
In addition, authorities ruled out intoxication as a potential factor. Once available, more details will be provided.
