2 Deceased Victims of Rohnert Park Crash Identified
ROHNERT PARK, CA (June 18, 2021) – Authorities identified Lorena Recendez-Martinez and Amada Guadalupe Salinas-Agular were killed in a crash on Saturday.
Police responded to the incident around 9:25 p.m., on Golf Course Drive at Roberts Lake Road.
Upon arrival, the authorities discovered one of the victims inside a 2018 Mercedes coupe turned on its side. Meanwhile, the other patient suffered life-threatening injuries before being pronounced dead.
Due to the impact of the crash, both of the victims, Lorena Recendez-Martinez, 17 of San Rafael and Amanda Guadalupe Salinas-Aguilar, 16 of Los Angeles were pronounced dead.
Investigators believe the Mercedes was traveling at high speeds before striking a curve while attempting to negotiate a curve. The vehicle then jumped over the curb and struck two street signs and two trees, ultimately hitting a traffic signal and coming to a stop.
Authorities closed down the roadway for more than three hours to conduct an investigation. But, the roadway has since reopened.
