Suspected DUI Crash in Huntington Beach Injures Motorcyclist
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (June 4, 2021) – On Memorial Day, a suspected DUI crash victim was identified by the authorities as Chanel Garcia.
According to CHP, officers responded to the crash around 7:30 p.m., on Beach Boulevard near Slater Avenue.
Investigations revealed that a large vehicle struck Garcia’s motorcycle on Beach Boulevard while he was stopped at a red light.
As a result, Garcia suffered from minor injuries and the paramedics transported her to a trauma center for immediate surgery.
Later, the police identified the driver of the car as 26-year-old Christopher Johnstone, of Costa Mesa.
Subsequently, authorities arrested Johnstone on suspicion of DUI causing bodily injury and possession of a controlled substance.
