Pearl Harbour on Ike and Tina

Ike & Tina Turner
Greatest Hits (Hallmark)
Pearl Harbour on Ike and Tina: Bay Area punk Pearl Harbor told us about her love for an Ike and Tina Turner comp.
Pearl Harbour: My favorite album is Ike & Tina Turner’s Greatest Hits from 1967 on the English label, Hallmark Records. It has everything that I love….including 10 great songs, no duds! They are: 1) A fool in Love, 2) Poor Fool, 3) Tra La La, 4) Mojo Queen, 5) Good Good Lovin’, 6) It’s Gonna Work Out Fine, 7) You Should Have Treated Me Right, 8) Mind In A Whirl, 9) I Idolize You, and 10) Letter From Tina.

(Hallmark)

This album is blues, soul, rhythm & blues and rock & roll — all my favorite genres that I can sing and dance to all night long. Tina’s vocals are raw and powerful and Ike’s guitar playing and songwriting are at his finest. Every time I play this album, my heart soars and my hips start moving. That’s what it’s all about….right?
Pearl Harbor‘s single “Trouble” is out now via Die Laughing.
