Surveillance Video Shows Car Exploding In Baldwin Park Gas Station

L.A. County Fire is investing a car fire that erupted at a Mobile gas station in Baldwin Park, Monday.

The incident occurred at around 12:50 a.m., and surveillance footage shows the car parked near a gas pump and the driver standing outside, when an explosion goes off within the car. Moments later, a passenger rushes out of the car before flames completely engulf the car.

The Mobile gas station clerk on duty said the men were pouring gas onto the car before running away when the fire ignited, according to CBSLA.

The suspects remain at large and were last seen running toward the neighboring city of El Monte on Ramona Boulevard.
