Man Killed, Six Hospitalized after Car Accident near Lake Boulevard
SHELTON, WA (November 11, 2021) – A man was killed and four were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon, after a 3-vehicle wreck on Highway 101.
The incident occurred around 3:00 p.m., near Lake Boulevard and Cloquallum Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
Per reports, three northbound vehicles collided near stopped traffic in the area. For reasons unknown, the driver of a Nissan Murano struck one vehicle, consequently pushing that car into another vehicle.
Police described the Nissan driver as a 56-year-old Shelton woman, and transported her to Mason General Hospital with unspecified injuries.
First responders later pronounced one victim dead at the scene. Officers only described the deceased victim as a 43-year-old man from Buckeye, Arizona.
Six victims in total were sent to hospitals, including children aged 5, 7, 8 and 10. At this time, authorities have not yet released their identities.
Additionally, a 60-year-old Shelton man who was involved remained uninjured.
