Head-On Crash on Interstate 5 Left Bakersfield Man Dead

BUTTONWILLOW, CA (November 29, 2021) – A head-on crash on Interstate 5 left a Bakersfield man dead Friday afternoon.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at around 3:21 p.m.

Consequently, the 62-Year old victim while traveling north of Interstate 5 collided with a 2020 Ford.
Moreover, when Buttonwillow officers went to the area, they discovered that the 2004 Hyundai travelled the wrong direction so the vehicle collided with the 2020 Ford.
Meanwhile, due to the impact of the crash, authorities pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Furthermore, police identified the driver of the 2020 Ford as 65-Year old Cristie Manuwa. Medics took him to Kern Medical after sustaining major injuries.
