Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura
VENTURA, CA (September 24, 2021) – Late Monday night, 43-year-old Rogelio Vazquez of Oxnard, was killed in a pedestrian crash on Highway 1.
The accident occurred around 11:16 p.m., on Pacific Coast Highway. Officers arrived to the scene near Wood Road, shortly after.
According to reports, Vazquez was walking along the northbound lanes of Highway 1 for reasons unknown. There, he was struck by a passing vehicle.
He was later identified by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s office.
In addition, the surrounding area on Highway 1 was closed during preliminary duties. Although, the road has since reopened to traffic.
