Leaving Marina del Rey for a three hour tour with seasoned fisherman and Providence owner Cimarusti, most of the voyage was spent by Maniscalco and the crew with heads over starboard, but the Michelin-starred chef said the day at sea was still a blast.
“Sebastian didn’t quite have his sea legs that day and that fact became obvious pretty much the moment we left the safety of the harbor,” Cimarusti tells L.A. Weekly. “If Sebastian had it his way, the boat would have turned around immediately, but the producers wouldn’t have it. Eventually Sebastian came around. He never did get bait in the water, but the trip was fruitful nonetheless. Once back on terra firma, he rallied and was his hilarious self for the rest of the day.”
