29-Year-Old Man Dead After a Head-On Collision in Mount Rose Highway

RENO, NV ( August 23, 2021 ) – Friday night, August 6, 29-year-old Nikolas Emerson, died in a deadly head-on crash on Mount Rose Highway.

The crash took place just before 6 p.m. below Douglas Fir Drive and just past Galena Estates, as per report.

According to the NHP, the driver of a blue 2020 Subaru Crosstrek was driving westbound when he crossed into the eastbound lane for unclear reasons, colliding head-on with a gold 2004 GMC Yukon. Unfortunately both cars were engulfed fire.

The NHP claimed that Emerson was sitting in the front passenger seat of the Subaru.

During the inquiry, the roadway was blocked for nearly four hours.
