Steelheart Reopens the Whisky: Live music is back at the Whisky, as more and more of L.A.’s venues open back up. Keep your masks on, regardless of state and venue policies. The virus variants could close everything up again if we’re not careful. But for now, we have live music again.
Besides a Monday show by ’80s cover band Fast Times, Connecticut hair metal hellraisers Steelheart will be the first band playing original material at the iconic venue. Led by Croatian-American singer (and sole original member) Miljenko Matijevic, the band is best known for the “I’ll Never Let You Go” hit single from the 1990 self-titled debut album.
Their most recent album is 2017’s Through World’s of Stardust, and they’ll likely play a career-spanning set on Sunset. Wikkid Star, Prima Donna Rising and If I Fall also play.
Steelheart Reopens the Whisky: The event takes place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 22 at the Whisky A Go Go.
