Motorcycle Crash on State Route 16 Ends with Injuries
TACOMA, WA (July 16, 2021) – A male motorcyclist sustained injuries Wednesday night following a motorcycle crash near State Route 16.
The incident happened just after 9:00 p.m., on South Sprague Avenue near the onramp to State Route 16.
According to reports, the rider was speeding southbound down South Sprague Avenue when he struck another car, causing him to eject from the bike and fly over the barrier, landing in SR-16’s westbound HOV lane.
Paramedics rushed the rider with serious injuries to a local hospital for treatment.
At this time, it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation is underway.
