Bakersfield Taft Highway Pedestrian Crash Leaves One Fatality
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 16, 2021) – On Tuesday, one unidentified person was killed in a pedestrian crash on Taft Highway in Bakersfield.
The incident happened on Highway 119 near Erro Ranch Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officers arrived to the scene around 9:36 a.m.
Per reports, a gray Chevrolet Avalanche struck the pedestrian. Eventually, medical personnel arrived and performed life-saving efforts on the injured victim.
However, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene. The identity of the deceased patient remains unavailable.
Reports did not disclose if the involved driver stayed or fled following the incident. In addition, the factors that contributed to the fatal pedestrian collision remain unclear.
