Highway 58 Pedestrian Collision Results in One Fatality
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 27, 2021) – Authorities are searching for the hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian on Highway 58 on Friday.
The incident occurred around 3:50 a.m., on Highway 58 west of the Cottonwood Road off-ramp, according to the CHP.
Shortly after their arrival, officers declared the pedestrian dead on the scene after they located him lying on the roadway.
According to reports, the driver immediately fled the scene before the police arrived.
At this time, the identity of the deceased pedestrian and the suspect remains unavailable. Cottonwood Officials are still investigating the fatal crash.
