Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Washington Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 01, 2021) – Alma Esmeralda Almaguer, 46, tragically died early Sunday morning following a pedestrian accident on South Decatur.
The tragic crash happened around 3:43 a.m., on June 20 at South Decatur and Washington Avenue. Dispatchers arrived shortly after.
According to reports, a Ford F-150 struck Almaguer as she was crossing eastbound on Decatur against a “do not walk” symbol.
Due to the impact of the collision, Almaguer sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, police said the Ford driver stayed and cooperated with the investigation.
Authorities do not currently believe that drugs or alcohol were factors. Once available, more information will be released.
