L.A. Guns‘ Tracii Guns Recalls Helmet: Tracii Guns, frontman with Sunset Strip rockers L.A. Guns, told us about his Helmet experience.
Tracii Guns: In the early ’90s I saw Helmet at the Palace. I got there a bit late. Walked in through the tunnel under the balcony and heard the drum fill intro into the song “Rollo” and I don’t remember ever being that excited at any other concert.
I was a very big Helmet fan, but when I heard that sound it made my adrenaline go nuts.
Not so much [were Helmet an influence on LA Guns] — that was one band I was able to just enjoy without having to analyze every detail.
