The Aces Say Don’t Freak: April 30 will see the release of a new single from Utah indie pop band the Aces, called “Don’t Freak.” Just in time for the start of Mental Health Awareness Month, the song addresses the stigma still surrounding mental illness.
According to a press release: “Driven by lead singer Cristal Ramirez’s experiences with anxiety-induced panic attacks, ‘Don’t Freak’ tells the story of struggling with your mental health in a society where the antidote is simply ‘don’t,’ pointing to how mental health issues are often minimized or met with a lack of understanding.”
It seems likely that the song will bet an airing when they livestream from the Belasco this week.
