Suspects Have Been Arrested In Shooting of Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker

LAPD has charged five suspects in connection with shooting Lady Gaga’s dog walker and kidnapping her French bulldogs.

Lady Gaga, whose real name is  Stefani Germanotta, had her three dogs taken after her dog walker, Ryan Fischer, took them for a walk on February 25.

Fischer, was hospitalized after the incident, being treated for a gunshot wound and the dogs were returned days later.

“I am humbled and grateful that attention and focus from the police were enough to get Koji and Gustav back to safety,” Ryan Fischer wrote on Instagram. “I know they are committed to bringing these criminals and attempted murderers to justice.”

The five suspects arrested were James Jackson, 18, Jaylin White, 19, Lafayette Whaley, 27, Harold White, 40, and Jennifer McBride, 50, with McBride returning the dogs to police. Jackson, Jaylin White and Whaley are believed to be the ones directly involved in the robbery and shooting, with Harold White and McBride believed to be accessories.

Officials also said they believe the robbery occurred because of the value of the dogs, not as a specific target to Lady Gaga.

“This was a brazen street crime that left a man seriously wounded,” L.A. County District Attorney George Gascón said in a statement. “We have alleged very serious charges in this case and have faith that justice will be appropriately served as this case unfolds in court.”
